New Community Diagnostic Centre opens in Wood Green Mall

A new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC), hosted by Whittington Health NHS Trust, has opened in Wood Green’s The Mall shopping centre.
CDC Entrance.

The CDC is located on the ground floor of The Mall.

Initially, the Centre will offer x-ray, ultrasound, ophthalmology and phlebotomy (blood tests) services to local people in the heart of Haringey, but there are plans to increase the number of services that will be offered on the site in the future.

Whittington Health NHS Trust runs the Wood Green CDC, with their staff behind the front desks and providing the clinical services. The ophthalmology (eye) clinic is run by staff from the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust.

By providing additional services to those already offered by the NHS locally, it is hoped to speed up diagnosis and, if treatment is required, to begin more quickly.

People do not have to be under the care of Whittington Health to take advantage of the new provision. Patients can be referred to it by their GP or from any other local hospital.

We are delighted to have welcomed our first patients through the doors, this has been a culmination of innovative partnership working over the last year. By bringing diagnostic tests to the high street, we are able to offer people tests and scans earlier and in an easy-to-access location.

Who can have an appointment at the CDC?

Can I walk-in?

The CDC can only see people who have been referred by their GP for a test. Please speak to your GP if you think you need one.

The current opening hours of the CDC are Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

Once the Centre is fully up and running, the opening hours will be: Monday - Friday 8am - 8pm  / Saturday and Sunday 9am - 5pm
