GP Patient Survey 2025 results in North Central London

In North Central London (Haringey, Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield) patients reported similar levels of satisfaction for most services, with some small improvements. This was reflective of the national trend.
"It’s promising that this year’s findings show modest increases in people’s overall experiences of GP, including an increase in the number of people given a choice of time, day or location for their most recent appointment, which we know from previous years’ results directly links to improvements in overall experience." Louise Ansari, Chief Executive, Healthwatch England.

- More people were finding it easier to contact their GP practice through the NHS App – 46% this year compared to 42% in 2024.
- When asked ‘Overall, how would you describe your experience of NHS dental services?’ 71% of patients answered ‘good’ – an improvement from 2024, when only 67% answered ‘good’.

- 34% of respondents in North Central London found booking over the phone difficult.
- There was no improvement this year on people’s overall experience of services when their GP practice is closed. Only 54% rated the service as good, whereas the national survey found 57% of patients felt the out-of-hours service was good.
Differences in Primary Care Networks
There was a gap between satisfaction rates in different Primary Care Networks (PCN) in Haringey.
- Over 80% of patients in one Haringey PCN said their overall experience of their GP practice was ‘good’ but only 63% of patients in another Haringey PCN said the same.
- Patients were asked ‘In the last 12 months, have you had enough support from local services or organisations to help you manage your conditions or illnesses?’ Only 51% of patients in one Haringey PCN answered ‘yes’ to this question, well below the national average of 69%. However, there was one Haringey PCN which was rated above the national level average - 70% of their patients said ‘yes’ to the same question.
