This report shines a light on the different forms and models of caring for elderly loved ones in Haringey, from care at home to supported living and care homes.

Healthwatch Haringey wanted to explore what was needed to achieve improvements in patient access to GPs. We were keen to understand the specific challenges and then consider some recommendations which fit with the reality of GP services.

This report sets out the experiences of people living with sickle cell in Haringey and the challenges they face around accessing benefits and services. The research was commissioned by and delivered with the Haringey Advice Partnership, a service led by Citizens Advice Haringey that provides information, advice and guidance to Haringey residents.

This report summarises the community feedback from workshops carried out by Healthwatch Haringey on behalf of Whittington Health NHS Trust. The new Integrated Health Hub was due to open in Wood Green, Haringey in 2025. Unfortunately the Hub has now been cancelled.

Young people were heavily impacted by COVID-19 and the subsequent lockdowns from 2020 to 2022, experiencing disruption to schooling and education and uncertainty over exams and results. We explored these issues by looking at the impact of COVID-19 and lockdowns on the mental health and wellbeing of young people in Haringey. During 2022 we followed up our first report, which was based solely on online surveys, with qualitative research.

Healthwatch Haringey research finds people from migrant communities and those affected by homelessness face multiple barriers to access to a GP in Haringey.

This was another challenging year for health and care services, and people wondered whether services would return to “business as usual” or whether they had changed for the long-term.

Long COVID has had a huge impact on people’s physical and mental health . We heard from Haringey people about the challenges of living with Long COVID, and the difficulties of getting a diagnosis and accessing appropriate health services and support.

North Central London Clinical Commissioning Group (NCL CCG) and Haringey Council are planning an Integrated Health and Wellbeing Hub in Wood Green, bringing a range of health services together in one central place in Haringey.
