World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) is an event aimed at reaching national organisations, governments and the general public, giving a clear message that suicide can be prevented.
The day is dedicated to preventing suicide and suicidal behaviour, alleviating its effects, and providing a forum for academics, mental health professionals, crisis workers, volunteers, and suicide survivors.
