The Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) looks at:

  • health needs in Haringey
  • the level and accessibility of pharmacy services
  • how these will be maintained and developed in the future

Purpose of the assessment

The government requires all Health and Wellbeing Boards to produce an assessment of NHS pharmaceutical services in their areas every three years.

PNAs are used to make informed decisions when considering applications for new pharmacies. They are also used by commissioners when planning services that could be delivered by community pharmacies.

There were two public consultations on the new PNA and Healthwatch Haringey provided comments on the consultation questions and responses from Haringey residents.
