Seeking out ‘seldom heard’ voices on health and care services in Haringey
01/02/2019
Healthwatch Haringey listens to the voices and experiences of all Haringey residents. We use what we hear to push for better local health and care services, but we know that some people are less likely than others to approach us or a health or care service with their feedback - either because of a language or cultural barrier, because of lack of trust in authority or just because they have other priorities and commitments.
Every three months this year, we will be focusing on different groups whose voices are ‘seldom heard’ and working to understand their experiences of health and care, and what could be improved.
In January, February and March, we will be focusing on:
- The large Turkish-speaking community in Haringey
- Sex workers
